The mask is how everyone recognizes Hannibal at a glance and is a socially recognized symbol which is the point of a halloween costume. You dress in a suit and sure you may be more accurate and all that shit as you’re explaining yourself to everyone who assumes you’re a mafioso. But remember NONE of them will care and they’ll all think you’re a pretentious fuck.
